I began building instruments in 1980 for friends and family. I deeply enjoy building for people who will use and appreciate these music creations. I have learned much from many over the years and am still learning this craft from new acquaintances and with each instrument built.
I grew up using wood tools in the shops of my grandfather and father back in northern Indiana. Ten years ago, we moved our family to Frederick, Maryland: a community alive with music. I have produced a number of different instruments over the years and have even made a few custom wood signs by request.
